Does the weather Affect our portrait session?
Do you offer different settings/backgrounds at the portrait session?
Our image designers are very good at choosing the correct look for the families we meet and we recommend you leave this process to our design team, to ensure a setting that really does complement your family and has the WOW factor. By the way, when you view the results from your portrait session and are not 100% happy, and it very seldom happens, you can request a new look if you would prefer something else.
Can we add a missing person to our portrait after our portrait session?
Can I have our family pet in our portrait?
Do you backup your images?
Do you work with black & white or colour?
What if I don’t like the results from my portrait session?
How much time should I allow for a portrait session?
To try and give an indication as an example, lets imagine you’re a Couple with 3 children (at any age), and require a full coverage portrait session (group, couple and single studies of the children), we would suggest 45 to 60 minutes. However, if your session goes really well don’t be surprised if it is less than half an hour. Remember most of the work to create your portrait happens after your portrait session.
Is there anything we should bring to a portrait session?
What do I wear for my portrait session?
How do we see the results from our portrait session?
We will offer design guide lines to help you if it is needed, however you won’t believe how wonderfully simple the decision making process will be and it’s really fun!
Why do you only do wall portraits?
Our 3 main reasons…
1: If you are going to live with a memory of yourself and loved ones, you should look the best you possibly can. With the correct wall portrait sizes for your family, there will be more space in the image to offer a better quality of artwork enhancement, as compared to a snapshot.
It’s really simple, the more space available for your portrait image, the more visual value we can offer your portrait, ensuring it is special to see.
2: To try and add as much value to your home environment as possible.
With wall portraiture, we are able to work with the correct image sizes, which can be easily seen and easily enjoyed. We can also design a wall portrait to balance the wall space and be the correct ratio for the room you will be viewing your portrait in. This is really hard to achieve from small prints which generally result in no impact on the wall and results in little image detail. We believe memories of your family need more respect than this.
Don’t worry, we will guide you through the design process and you will be amazed at how easy it will be to make a good decision for your needs and budget.
3: A hard copy image of any description is the best way we know to avoid any electronic image loss. A wall portrait really does poke technology in the eye. We hear on a daily basis of people that have had a computer crash or had a cell phone die with most of their family memories. All our wall portraits can be replaced as we have an archival fee included into the cost of our wall portraiture. Yes, we will be able to replace your portrait if something terrible happens to it. (see terms and conditions)
Why do your portraits cost so much?
Yes, they are not cheap snap shots… and if you are after a snap shot, we suggest you do it yourself. The fact is, you really do get what you pay for and we do offer a huge range of sizes, from the more economical, to life size and beyond.
Again it is simple, the bigger the size you want, the more expensive they are. However, you should be pleased to see, what you can own for a few dollars a week with our easy payment plan. We offer up to 36 months interest free to help families own the size portrait they believe looks best for their own family (see terms and conditions).
This surprises most of our clients – The portrait session is the easy part of the procedure. Over 70% of the cost of our portraits is the artwork and digital management we do on all our portraits. It is the reason many of our clients say, ” They look like a ‘painting’ or ‘a piece of art’ “. The composite and retouching artwork is the main reason families choose us, because again, everyone just wants to look their very best and we guarantee you will.
This might surprise you too… photography is a very small part of the procedure needed to create your portrait here at our Gallery and to help you understand, we have been called the ” Peter Jackson ” of the portrait world. Now, we don’t think for a moment we are anywhere near as famous, however, I want you to know your image will be made up of different settings and images that will be artistically inserted and blended into a beautifully rendered fine-art portrait. You can see this for yourself in this web page. However, when you see the real portraits in our Galleries, only then will you truly see the difference we can make to a portrait.
We can assure you of an enjoyable portrait experience at our Gallery and when you arrive, your family will understand we are totally committed to a very important job and quality portraiture. The trust our Gallery environment will give your family members will be noticeable and this really does make a huge difference to how confident everyone will look in your portrait.
Both our locations are very impressive, which is the result of substantial investment and careful planning. The costing of our portraiture also helps cover this important ingredient, which has been designed first and foremost, for you and your family portrait.
